School Age Readers Program

This free program is designed to keep kids reading through the summer school vbacation so they don't lose any of their reading and comkprehension skills. Children who have completed kindergarten and older are invited to join the Summer Reading Program for six weeks of good books, prizes, coupons for free and reduced admission to area attractions, entertainment and educational activities.

Everyone who registers receives a reading journal, book bag, and bookmark, and they become eligible to win prizes and attend summer programs.

Children entering grades 1 through 3 in fall 2008 are also eligible to tak part in the Book Buddy Program which pairs them with an older reader for one hour a week during the month of July. Younger Book Buddie will read with their older partners, write in their journals and do crafts together.

Preschool Program

Your preschooler can "Bee a Reader" this summer! This program is for ages 3 to 5 (or entering kindergarten). Program includes reading with your child, "buggy" crafts, fun programs, and prizes.
