► BOOK AND BAKE FAIROur semi-annual Book and Bake Sale will be held Saturday, May 17th from 9-2. We will be selling adult and children’s fiction and non-fiction - $1 for hardcovers, $.50 for paperbacks, and $1 for videos, DVDs and audiobooks. This year, in addition to baked goods, we will also have plants for sale and raffle tickets for themed gift baskets (e.g. Rest and Relaxation, Gardening, etc.). Outside we plan to have face-painting and games for children in the backyard, too (weather permitting).
►POETRY READINGS
Community members are invited to come and recite poetry or just listen at these events sponsored by the North Kingstown Council for the Arts and organized by Audrey Friedmann.
Poetry readings will be held the first Thursday of every month at 7PM and will end in June for the summer.
►CAKE PAN COLLECTIONThanks to patron Sarah Carlson, the library now has a collection of cake pans that can be checked out with your library card! A binder with photos and instructions for decorating the cakes will be available at the desk for browsing.
