Friends of the
Louttit Library

     Help bring new ideas and energy to your library.  We are a group of concerned Louttit Library patrons, who want to help the library grow and serve the community.  There is a limit as to how much the Library Board of Trustees and staff can accomplish.  They have worked very hard over the years to expand and improve the library but this is our turn to help them help the community.

PURPOSE of the Friends of the Louttit Library:

  • To promote public use of the Louttit Library and appreciation of it as a cultural and educational asset to the community, and to encourage the extension and improvement of its services;

  • To encourage the interest in, and expansion of, the resources, equipment, and physical facilities of the Louttit Library;

  • To allow for participation by interested patrons in library-related events, such as exhibits, programs, and publications;

  • To solicit gifts and bequests of books, materials, manuscripts, and financial contributions above and beyond the library's annual budget, enabling the Louttit Library to remain in a continual state of growth and progress.

    Donation forms are available at the Louttit Library.    Contributions can be made from $3.00 for an individual, to $50.00 for a benefactor.  The Friends of the Louttit Library also need volunteers to help with fundraising ideas, children's programs, and other special library projects.
