Welcome to the Maury Loontjens Memorial Library

 (formerly the Narragansett Public Library)

.

SurfRI is a test of a proposed statewide database.  48 states already provide their citizens with this type of information access. A Statewide Databases will provide access to online books, journals, newspapers, magazines, and research, quality information resources that libraries must pay for and some libraries cannot afford. SurfRI will make these resources available to all Rhode Islanders, regardless of their library affiliation.  So, take it for a test drive and let your State Representative know how much you loved it!  During this time of budget cuts, let's all try to do what we can to maintain educational opportunities for everyone.

How to renew your library materials

Mission
To serve the informational, educational, and recreational needs of the Narragansett community through acquiring and maintaining quality materials, programs, and services within comfortable facilities; with emphasis on information which is of immediate relevance and interest; and in a manner commensurate with responsible fiscal planning. The Library’s mission extends to providing access to the universe of information beyond the Library’s own collections through interlibrary cooperation and efficient use of technology
