The world's largest and most comprehensive Native American museum and research center offers an array of engaging experiences for young and old, from life-size walk-through dioramas that transport visitors into the past, to changing exhibits and live performances of contemporary arts and cultures. Four full acres of permanents exhibits depict 18,000 years of Native and natural history in thoroughly researched detail, while two libraries, including one for children, offer a diverse selection of materials on the histories and cultures of all Native peoples of the United States and Canada.

 

Museum Hours
Daily 10 am to 4 pm, last admission at 3 pm.
Closed on Thanksgiving Eve, Thanksgiving Day, Christmas Eve and Christmas Day, New Year's Eve and New Year's Day.

The Museum Restaurant:
The restaurant offers a luncheon menu including family fare, Native American selections, and snacks which can be enjoyed on a balcony overlooking a forest setting. Directions :   From Rhode Island and Points North
Follow Route 95 South to Exit 92. At the Exit, go to the second stop sign and take a right onto Route 2 West. Stay on Route 2 West for 8 miles. Turn left onto Route 214, drive 3/10 mile, turn right onto Pequot Trail. The Public Safety Building will be on the left. Continue until you reach the museum parking lot.
