Pawtucket Public Library Bookmobile Off The Road
Pawtucket Public Library’s Bookmobile will be off the road starting Tuesday, July 1, 2008. This is a result of the recent layoffs by the City of Pawtucket. Library Director Susan Reed and city officials will restore the service with a reduced schedule in the near future. Every effort will be made to establish stops that are convenient to current bookmobile users.
After June 28, all materials checked out on the bookmobile should be returned to the main library at 13 Summer Street. Reserved materials usually picked up on the Bookmobile will be available for pick up at the main library.
Parking is available on the street and in the lot adjacent to the library building on Summer Street across from the YMCA. The library also provides one hour of free parking in News Café parking lot farther down Summer Street on the opposite side of the street from the library. A staff member at the circulation desk will validate your parking ticket for one free hour of parking at the News Café lot.
The library’s summer reading clubs for kids and teens will be starting soon. The library also has discount passes to nearby attractions. Come in and explore your library.
Please call assistant director Christine Jeffers at 725-3714 ext. 214 if you have any questions about bookmobile services.
